June Book Club Pick - Jungle by Yossi Ghinsberg

Hi guys,
We have had six solid months of book club fun so far in 2018, and I'm really stoked to announce the next book! This book is called "Jungle" and is not to be confused with Upton Sinclair's famous novel called "The Jungle". I actually first heard about this story by watching the amazon prime video and then thought it would make an excellent selection for the Dream of the Alpine Book Club. If you haven't checked out the film, you definitely should, though if you plan to read this month's pick maybe wait until after you're finished reading! I can't wait to see what everyone thinks about this one.
If you're new to the book club and want to vote on our next book club selection, the vote takes place each month by the book club members on our Facebook group.
From the Amazon description of the book:
“What begins as a dream adventure for four amicable, if hastily met, muchileros (backpackers) quickly becomes a struggle for survival as they unravel under the duress of the jungle. They are an odd mix to be sure: Marcus, the Swiss mystic; Karl, the shady Austrian geologist; Kevin, the well-intentioned American photographer; and Yossi, the Israeli adventurer. Jungle is the incredible true story of Yossi Ghinsberg’s triumph over the most adverse and frightening of circumstances. It is a tale of survival and human fortitude against the wildest backdrop on the planet.”
I have quick links to the book on amazon or audible below:
